Welcome

Hurt feelings don't vanish on their own. They don't heal themselves. If we don't express our emotions, they pile up like a debt that will eventually come due.

Nanny Gomiero - Counsellor

Hello!

Nanny Gomiero - Counsellor

My name is Nanny Gomiero

I am a compassionate and trauma-informed Counsellor specializing in evidence-based techniques, with a strong foundation in cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT). My approach is strength-focused, empowering clients to harness their inner resilience through self-reflection, compassion, and trust-building.

With a Psychology degree from Brazil and a Master of Counselling from the University of Canberra, I combine robust academic training with real-world experience. I have worked extensively with diverse populations, including young individuals, couples, and women navigating complex health and life transitions.

Now Available: The Parenting Workbook You Actually Want to Use

Not Perfect Parenting. Real Parenting.

A real-life guide for imperfect parents doing brave things.

Tired of yelling, guilt-spiraling, and Googling “is it normal if my toddler…?” This workbook is for you.

Designed for parents who are trying to stay calm and break generational cycles (while reheating the same cup of coffee three times), this workbook blends gentle parenting wisdom with real talk. Inside, you’ll find brain-based insights, reflection prompts, and comforting humour — all aimed at helping you reconnect with yourself and your child.

Whether you’re navigating tantrums, triggers, or just bedtime negotiations, this isn’t about doing it perfectly. It’s about doing it with more awareness, kindness, and laughter.

Services

Individual Therapy – 60 min

A safe space, just for you.

Life can feel heavy sometimes — whether you're carrying stress, anxiety, past experiences that still echo today, or navigating big transitions that have left you feeling ungrounded. In one-on-one therapy sessions, you’ll have space to slow down, breathe, and be heard without judgment.

This is a space where you don’t have to have the answers. Together, we’ll gently explore what’s been coming up for you — the patterns, the emotions, the stories you’ve been holding. Using evidence-based tools, a trauma-informed approach, and lots of compassion, we’ll work toward more clarity, emotional safety, and self-trust.

Couples Therapy – Reconnect, Repair, Rebuild - 80 min

Relationships go through seasons. Sometimes it’s disconnection, conflict, resentment, or simply the growing distance that creeps in between the chaos of daily life. In couples therapy, we create space to slow down and gently unpack what’s really going on beneath the surface — without blame, shame, or pressure to “fix” things overnight.

Whether you're navigating big transitions, parenting stress, communication struggles, or rebuilding after a rupture, therapy can offer clarity, safety, and new ways of relating to each other with honesty and care.

1:1 Parenting Mentoring

I offer gentle, real-talk mentoring sessions for parents who are trying to raise their kids and reparent themselves (without losing their minds).

  • One session

Perfect if you just need a reset, a space to reflect, or a pep talk between tantrums.

  • 3-session bundle

More space to explore patterns, strategies, and breakthroughs — with some laughs and deep sighs along the way.

  • 6-session support plan

For deeper transformation — includes the workbook, email check-ins, and ongoing support from someone who gets it.

Victims of Service NSW

If you’ve experienced violence, abuse, or a traumatic crime in New South Wales, you may be eligible for free counselling through the Victims Support Scheme.

I’m an approved counsellor under this program and can provide gentle, trauma-informed support to help you process what’s happened, feel safer in your body and mind, and begin to rebuild. You don’t need a police report to access support — just the courage to reach out.

This space is here for you — at your pace, and on your terms.

Why is therapy important?

Get to Know Us

Therapy offers a nurturing environment where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours in a safe and confidential setting. Individual therapy is designed to facilitate personal growth and enhance your overall well-being through introspection and self-awareness. It provides an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and to challenge and modify any ingrained beliefs or patterns that may be holding you back.

In therapy, you have the freedom to express yourself without judgment and to set the pace of your own journey. You can discuss whatever is on your mind and take the time you need to explore your concerns fully. You may be pleasantly surprised by the range of therapeutic techniques and strategies available to help you achieve your goals.

Trying therapy is a personal choice, and you have the autonomy to decide whether it's the right fit for you. It's about honouring your unique experiences and needs while embarking on a journey of self-discovery and growth.
